In light of the new Government guidelines issued this week, we just wanted to remind you that our school is a safe place to be and of the measures we have in place to remain so.
Firstly, we have our staggered starts to the day. For KS2 your drop off time is 8.45am and for KS1 8.55am. Your collection times are 3.20pm for KS2 and 3.30pm for KS1.
Please remember to socially distance queue and not congregate around the school gate. Leaving promptly is the safest thing to do.
As children come into school, they are asked to wash their hands thoroughly and are supervised doing this.
Throughout the school day, our children regularly wash their hands and our staff regularly clean ‘much touched surfaces’ such as doors, light switches and toilets. In addition to this, class teachers ensure that classroom equipment is sanitised after use.
Children should not bring in items from home that are unrelated to educational purposes. For example, PE bags, lunch boxes, water bottles etc. are acceptable but show and tell items are not. Please remember to name all items.
As the teaching day unfolds, our children remain in their classes for their learning, with KS2 children seated facing forwards and with staff socially distancing appropriately.
If your child/children display any of the following symptoms of COVID, they should remain at home until a negative test result has been obtained. If the test is positive, you should inform school immediately and the child should then isolate for the required 10 days:
- a new continuous cough
- a high temperature
- a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)
Under these measures, our children have remained safe for the last half term and we have had no confirmed cases so far.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. It is by working as a partnership that we are ensuring the safety of our children.
