In September, should Government guidance remain unchanged, we will be re-opening our wrap around care facilities. Booking arrangements remain the same.

Our drop off and pick-ups times for wrap around care remain the same and will be from the front entrance of school.

Our normal school day drop off and pick up routine will remain staggered however, with Y4-6 children arriving at 8.45am and leaving at 3.30pm and Reception, Y1-3 children arriving at 9am and leaving at 3.35pm. Please continue arriving from the field entrance as you are all doing now. If you have children in both of these ‘bubbles’, please bring all your school aged children at the earlier time and collect at the later time.

Pleased refer to the letter page for details of Reception sessions.

The cleaning and handwashing regimes will also continue in September and distancing from the adults will be encouraged, certainly with the older children.

Our children will be allowed to bring their book bags into school but we will be asking children to arrive on their PE kits on PE days for the first half term. They will be allowed to take home items that have an immediate educational purpose to them. For example, reading books can and will be sent home. The above two bubbles will remain separate for lunch and play times and desks will remain in rows with children being allowed to sit next to one another. Equipment can be shared as long as it is cleaned between uses or left for an appropriate length of time.

In September, all year groups will be welcomed back into school and will be with their rightful class teacher – we are very excited about this! Naturally, the learning on Seesaw will not commence after the holidays in the way that it has.

It is all go at Beckwithshaw – our classrooms are changing ready for the new term. In September, our Y6 children will be in the downstairs classroom by the front entrance. Mr Bailey and Miss Newsholme’s classroom will be in the big room downstairs and Miss Bushell is moving upstairs. Miss Scott is keeping her head down and hoping we don’t notice that the Reception and Year 1 class isn’t moving!

We are moving around because Nidd Class is very squashed in their current room, making teaching incredibly difficult.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact school via email.
